About Us
Niobrara Grain and Milling exists today as a testament to the enduring legacy of George and Darlean Moreland, visionary farmers from southwest Nebraska whose dedication to land vitality and product purity has shaped our brand across generations. At Niobrara Grain and Milling, we are not just selling flour; we are custodians of an agricultural heritage that prioritizes pure foods that not only feed and satisfy us but also preserve the lands that nourish us.
We can guarantee the quality of our flour because we handle every step of the process - from the field to your table. Our process begins in the fields of our family farm, Moreland Farms, Inc. We cultivate a variety of grains using time-honored organic farming techniques passed down to us by George and Darlean. This not only ensures adherence to stringent Organic Standards but also enhances the biodiversity of our farm ecosystem. Each grain variety is carefully selected for its unique properties, contributing to a diverse offering of organic and heritage flours.
Our grains are grown on our farms that are carefully managed so that no chemicals, insecticides and herbicide have been applied, meeting the strict requirements for USDA Organic certification. Each package contains a lot number that allows you to track exactly which tract of land in the heart of the country that the grain to make your flour was grown on.
At Niobrara Grain and Milling, we take pride in our state-of-the-art milling process that utilizes a Unifine Mill, which preserves the nutritional integrity and flavor of the grains more than standard roller milled flour. Our milling facility is designed to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and efficiency, ensuring that every batch of flour we produce is not only organic but also of unparalleled quality.
