NGM Easy Biscuits

Ingredients
2 cups Niobrara Grain and Milling Whole Wheat flour
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1 Tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon kosher salt
6 Tablespoons unsalted butter- frozen
¾ cup whole milk
 Instructions
  1. Using a box grater, grate frozen butter.
  2. Preheat oven to 425F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
  4. Add frozen butter to flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter to cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Add milk. Stir until combined; do not overwork the dough.
  6. Transfer dough to a floured counter and gently work the dough together.
  7. Fold the dough over itself and gently flatten the layers together. Rotate the dough and fold in half again, repeating 5-6 more times, creating layers.
  8. Flatten the dough to 1” thick. Using a dusted biscuit cutter or glass, press into the dough and drop the biscuits on the baking sheet less than ½” apart.
  9. Repeat until you have gotten as many as possible.
  10. Bake in preheated oven for 12 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
